Easter is around the corner and we have a delicious sweet treat chocolaty recipe that is super easy to make and bake, so the kids can join in too.
Ingredients:
Cupcakes:
100g granulated sugar
100g plain flour
50g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
1 large egg
3tbsp milk
3tbsp vegetable oil
1tsp vanilla extract
Vanilla Icing:
130g butter
300g icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Mini chocolate eggs ad chocolate sprinkles to decorate
Method:
1. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius.
2. In a bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt with a hand mixer.
3. Add egg, milk, oil, and vanilla in the bowl and mix until a smooth mixture.
4. Put the muffin cases on an oven tray and evenly split and put the batter into the cases.
5. Place in the oven and cook for 18 minutes.
6. Now make the icing by beating the butter, vanilla extract, and icing sugar together in a bowl.
7. Once the cupcakes are cooked and left to cool, pipe on the icing and decorate with mini chocolate eggs and chocolate sprinkles.
